General Trade Services

The general trade business comprises mostly of cGrate’s merchant network. These are merchants that perform various transactions such as electronic voucher distribution, merchant payments, cash deposits, cash withdrawals and bulk payments. These merchants trade under the 543 Konse Konse brand.

We have established a strong and continuously growing network of more than 7,000 merchants nationwide. This extensive network forms the basis of our business operations and allows us to offer comprehensive services to our valued customers.

Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVDs)

cGrate takes pride in offering a seamless Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVD) service, providing electronic vouchers for various essential services. This product is easily accessible through the 543 App, POS terminals, USSD, Online at online.543.co.zm, Direct integration through web-services and the user-friendly 543 Pay platform.payment systems, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of the country.

Merchant Payments

Merchant Payments provide 543 merchants with cashless payment options for goods and services. Customers can use their mobile money or bank accounts to pay for goods and services. The service is currently available for MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Zamtel Kwacha, Investrust, Atlas Mara and Indo Zambia bank. Merchants can take payments through the various 543 channels as well as using the merchants channels such as till integration, merchant apps and online.

543 Pay

543 Pay allows customers to access bank accounts and mobile money through WhatsApp and SMS. Customers need a bank account or mobile money account and must be registered on mobile banking for bank account access. The service is currently available for MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, Zamtel Kwacha, Investrust, Atlas Mara, Indo Zambia bank and ZRA for paying taxes using WhatsApp. Customers can access the service by adding +260 211840008 as a contact and chatting through the contact.

Cash Deposits - CashIn

Customers can make cash deposits into mobile money wallets,bank accounts and international remittance accounts at 543 Merchants. We have partnered with all the banks in Zambia, all the mobile network operators and some micro-finance institutions.

Cash Withdrawals - CashOut

Customers can withdraw cash from their mobile money wallets, bank accounts, international money transfer accounts and micro-finance accounts. We have partnered with AB Bank, Airtel, Atlas Mara, First Capital, Indo, Investrust, Mfinance, MTN, Mukuru, and Zamtel.

Agent Loans

Agent Loans are designed to empower our network of merchants by providing easy access to short-term loans. This product is part of our commitment to supporting the growth and sustainability of businesses within the 543 ecosystem. Merchants can apply and receive loans realtime with no need for paperwork using the 543 App, USSD and the 543 Online platform.

Bulk Payments

Businesses and merchants can process bulk payments to mobile money accounts and bank accounts by either putting the customer’s mobile number and amount or specifying the customer's bank and transaction reference.This is a seamless service that is convenient for customers like farmers remitting salaries or NGOs remitting grants
